Your partner steps aboard knowing nothing but the boat trip; the rest is the surprise you signed off beforehand, down to the flowers they like and the song you want playing.
A photographer can be placed in advance so the moment is caught without your partner ever spotting a camera, and you step off with the ring on and the photos ready to share.
